LONG DAY. The 50 miles were not that big of a deal. I was on track for 17th place, like 4:09ish. I was with the lead pack for the first part. I flatted 4 TIMES! I pretty much gave up on any more fixes. I was near the finish, so I thought....
I asked a dude going by to check his odometer to see how many miles left, he said 2. I was like cool I can run it in from here. I could average 15min miles. I WAS 7 MILES OUT!!!!! Needless to say it was a long run in carbon soled shoes.
To add to my bad day, when I hit town walking, a dude and chic on a motorcycle rode by and said " Get on yer bike, FAGGOT!" Nice touch to my finish.
At the end of the day, had a great time with my bros from Scottsdale and Colorado.
Good times.
